This Privacy Policy explains how Serenade ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Serenade Bot, Serenade Tools, and Serenade BranchLinks (collectively, the "Services").
Serenade Tools (Dashboard & Twitch Extension)
This section explains how Serenade Tools collects, uses, and protects information when you use our dashboard, Twitch extension, and request systems.
Information We Collect
- Account Information: Twitch/Clerk account details used for authentication.
- Viewer Request Data: Geometry Dash (GD) level IDs, Clone Hero (CH) song IDs, and the usernames of requesters using our extensions.
- Dashboard Settings: Configuration preferences for your community integrations, queues, overlays, and automation.
- Overlays & Assets: Custom user-uploaded images, audio, and overlay configurations. Uploaded files are stored securely on our servers until deleted by the user.
- Twitch Events: Follow, subscription, cheer, and raid events received via Twitch EventSub, used only to trigger the relevant overlay/alert in real time.
- Payment Verification: When you spend Twitch Bits on a request, we verify the transaction receipt directly with Twitch and record the transaction ID to prevent it being reused — we never see or store your card details.
How We Use Your Information
We use this data to manage your live request queues, sync libraries, authenticate your dashboard sessions, store and serve your stream overlays, and provide real-time updates to your streaming integrations.
Data Storage, Security, & Sharing
We use industry-standard, secure systems to store your data and authenticate your account. We take reasonable measures to protect your data using industry-standard encryption in transit, and we do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. Data is only shared with third-party services (such as Discord, Twitch, YouTube, Steam, Clerk, and OpenAI) when necessary to provide functionality. We retain data only as long as necessary to provide our services.
However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
Serenade's products are built on top of Discord and Twitch and are not intended for anyone below the minimum age required by those platforms (currently 13). We do not knowingly collect data from children below this age.
Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access: Request access to the data we hold about you.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data by removing the bot from your server, deleting your BranchLinks page, or deleting your account.
- Opt-Out: Stop using the services at any time.

Serenade Bot Privacy (Discord Bot)
This section explains how Serenade Bot collects, uses, and protects information when you use our Discord bot.
Information We Collect
- Discord Server Information: Server ID and name, channel IDs where the bot is used, server member counts.
- User Information: Discord User ID, username, Steam ID and achievement statistics (if linked), voice data (temporarily processed for transcription), messages sent to SerenadeAI.
- Usage Data: Commands used and their frequency, bot configuration settings, stream notification preferences.
How We Use Your Information
We use this data to deliver stream notifications and SerenadeAI chat responses, as well as to improve functionality, maintain security, and perform analytics. Messages sent to SerenadeAI are passed to our AI provider (OpenAI) solely to generate a response, and are not used by us to build a profile of you beyond what's needed to keep a conversation thread coherent.
Serenade BranchLinks Privacy (Bio-Link Pages)
This section explains how Serenade BranchLinks collects, uses, and protects information when you create or view a BranchLinks page.
Information We Collect
- Page Owners: Your Clerk account ID, chosen page name/URL, page content (links, titles, descriptions), and any theme, colour, or image customizations you save.
- Uploaded Images: Background and button images you upload for your page, stored securely on our asset storage.
- Analytics (Page Views & Link Clicks): When someone views your page or clicks a link, we log the event type, the branch/link involved, and a timestamp. We do not store the visitor's IP address — we generate a one-way, salted hash of it in memory for five minutes purely to stop the same visit being counted twice, then discard it. Analytics events are otherwise kept for a period based on the page owner's subscription tier (between 7 and 365 days) and are automatically deleted afterwards.
How We Use Your Information
We use this data to render your public BranchLinks page, enforce your tier's feature limits, and show you aggregate analytics (views, clicks, click-through rate) about your own page. Visitors to a BranchLinks page do not need an account and are never individually identified or tracked.
